Eli Senior
There are some sessions that just hit a little different, and this one meant a lot to me.
I got to photograph my nephew Eli for his senior session, and honestly, it’s hard to put into words what that feels like. I’ve watched him grow up, spent years seeing him at family gatherings, ballgames, and everything in between. So being the one behind the camera for such an important milestone in his life was really special.
We chose to do his session at the baseball fields, which just felt right. Baseball has been such a big part of Eli’s life for as long as I can remember. Countless practices, games, long nights, early mornings, and so much hard work have all happened on fields just like that. It wasn’t just a location. It was part of his story.
There’s something about photographing someone you know so well. It’s easier, more natural. I didn’t have to pull smiles out of him or make things feel forced. He was just himself, and that’s exactly what I wanted to capture. The confidence he’s grown into, the quiet determination, and the love he has for the game all showed up without trying.
And somewhere in the middle of taking photos, it hit me how fast time has gone. It feels like just yesterday he was a little kid running around, and now he’s about to graduate and step into the next chapter of his life.
Eli, I’m so proud of you. It was an honor to capture this season for you, and I can’t wait to see where life takes you next.
