Martin Family

This session was such a special one for me—Sommer and her sweet crew are more than just clients; they’re great friends of ours from the homeschool community, and getting to document this beautiful season of life for them was such a gift.

Sommer is expecting a baby boy at the end of May (so soon!!), and she just radiated that gorgeous mama glow during her session. She and her husband are already amazing parents to their three kiddos, and watching them all love on baby brother before he’s even arrived was the sweetest thing.

The kids were full of energy and so much fun to photograph—there were laughs, cuddles, and even a few goofy poses that perfectly captured their personalities. I always love when families bring their true selves to a session, and this crew did just that. You can feel how close they are just by being around them for five minutes.

We found a beautiful spot with soft evening light and a little breeze, and it was perfect for a spring maternity shoot. Sommer looked stunning in her dress, and I loved seeing her husband and kids doting on her throughout the session. This baby boy is already so loved.

It’s always an honor to photograph moments like this, but it’s extra meaningful when it’s people you’ve shared life with. Sommer, thank you for letting me capture this milestone for your family—I can’t wait to meet your newest little guy soon!
