McKenzie + Harrison Engagement
Last weekend I headed to Joyner Park to spend the evening with McKenzie and Harrison for their engagement session, and we seriously could not have asked for a prettier evening! The light was beautiful, the park was showing off, and these two made the entire session feel so easy.
One of my favorite parts of engagement sessions is getting a chance to actually spend some time with my couples before the wedding day. It gives us a chance to get to know each other without the timeline and craziness of a wedding day, and by the end of the session, being in front of the camera usually feels a whole lot less intimidating.
This session was a little extra fun because Harrison is also a firefighter, just like my husband. My husband was able to tag along with me for the evening, so while McKenzie and I talked wedding plans and made our way around the park, there was plenty of firefighter talk happening too. It was such a fun evening getting to hang out, laugh, and connect with both of them.
And can we talk about these two in front of the camera?! They were so natural together. The laughs were easy, the smiles were genuine, and you can tell pretty quickly how much fun they have together. Those are always some of my favorite moments to photograph—the ones that don’t feel forced or overly posed and just look like them.
McKenzie and Harrison will be saying “I do” next year, and after spending this evening with them, I’m already looking forward to getting them back in front of my camera for their wedding day!
For now, here are a few of my favorites from their beautiful Joyner Park engagement session. 🤍
