Molly + John Proposal

I had the absolute pleasure of capturing John and Molly’s engagement session at the Village Arboretum in Pinehurst on Christmas Eve, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect setting. The air was crisp, and the peaceful atmosphere of the Arboretum made for an intimate and romantic backdrop. John had planned everything so thoughtfully, choosing a quiet spot by the arbor for the proposal. When Molly walked the path toward John, her expression was one of pure surprise and joy—it was a moment I was so honored to be there for. The whole thing felt so personal and genuine, and it was clear how much love they share.

After the proposal, we took a stroll through the Arboretum to capture some stunning shots of the newly engaged couple. The light was soft and golden as the sun began to dip, adding a natural, warm glow to every photo. John and Molly were amazing in front of the camera—so relaxed and in sync with each other. It was such a joy to watch them laugh and enjoy the moment together. Days like this remind me why I love being a photographer—it’s not just about capturing beautiful images, but about being a part of such a special moment in a couple’s journey.
