Cox Family

Getting to photograph the Cox family for an extended family session a few months ago was such a special evening. Extended family sessions are always a little busy (in the best way), but they’re also some of my favorites because they capture so much love and connection all in one place.

This crew included three adult kids, their spouses, and eight grandkids, which meant lots of laughter, a little bit of chaos, and so many sweet moments in between. We made sure to get the big group photo with everyone together, but we also took time for each individual family, the grandkids together, and of course a few just of the grandparents with their crew.

One of my favorite parts of sessions like this is watching the cousins interact. The kids were full of energy and had the best time running around and making each other laugh, which made for some really genuine photos. Those candid moments always end up being the ones families treasure the most.

Sessions like this are such a meaningful way to document a season of life. Kids grow fast, families change, and having everyone together in one place doesn’t happen nearly enough. I’m so glad the Cox family took the time to make it happen and trusted me to capture these memories for them.
