Mikayla & Jonathan's Engagement

When I first got the call about this sweet couple's wedding plans, I knew instantly that this is one I would do whatever I needed to make sure I could be there!

This week's engagement feature is a story that started several years ago, when our family lived near Greenville, SC. My husband was the associate pastor at the time, and Jonathan's family became such dear friends to us! We fell in love with the McCall family and were so glad to have them as part of our lives. Even in the past two years since we moved back to North Carolina, we have regularly kept up with their family through phone calls and messages. When Jonathan's mom called me about photographing Jonathan and Mikayla's wedding in December, my jaw almost dropped! My first reaction was to tell my husband, "You'll never guess who's getting married...and in only three months!"

We quickly set up some dates for a whirlwind of a weekend to capture their engagement session as well as Mikayla's bridals (keep your eyes peeled for a few weeks!) and the official countdown began! These two met me at one of my favorite locations for their engagement session- Table Rock State Park. I had such a great time getting to know Mikayla and seeing just how smitten Jonathan had become!

Their Christmas wedding is only twelve short days away, so I can't wait to share more from their big day soon!
