Mikayla + Sam Engagement

I had such a wonderful time with Mikayla and Sam during their engagement session at Freedom Park in Charlotte! I actually had the honor of photographing Mikayla’s sister’s wedding earlier this spring, so it was so special to reconnect with this sweet family again.

Mikayla and Sam are such a fun and easygoing couple — the kind that make my job feel effortless. From the moment we started, they were laughing together and completely at ease in front of the camera. Freedom Park was the perfect spot for their session with its mix of open green spaces, beautiful bridges, and lakeside views. We were able to capture a little bit of everything — from soft, romantic moments by the water to playful shots that perfectly show their personalities.

Mikayla, who’s a talented cosmetologist, looked absolutely stunning, and you can tell these two are so excited for this next chapter together. Their wedding will be at Sunset Farms next year, and I just know it’s going to be such a fun day filled with laughter, love, and plenty of celebration with their friends and family.

I’m so grateful to be part of another special moment for this family, and I can’t wait to capture all the joy of their big day!
