Mikayla + Sam

Mikayla and Sam got married last Saturday at Sunset Farms in Union, South Carolina, and their whole day was just so much fun to be a part of.

One of the things that stood out to me most about their wedding was just how happy they both were. They were genuinely excited all day long, and you could tell how much they were looking forward to finally getting to this moment. There was a lot of laughter, a lot of smiling, and just this constant sense of excitement between the two of them.

Their first look was one of my favorite parts of the day. They had some time together to share private vows and just enjoy being with each other before everything else started. There was plenty of laughter mixed in, which felt very fitting for the two of them. At one point, they even played rock, paper, scissors to decide who would say their vows first. It was such a simple, funny moment, but it really captured their personalities and the way they are together.

I always love when couples can slow down during a wedding day and actually enjoy each other. There is so much going on, and the day can go by incredibly fast, so those little moments where you get to see a couple completely focused on each other are some of my favorite things to photograph.

Mikayla and Sam did a great job of doing just that. They laughed, they enjoyed themselves, and they never seemed to lose sight of why they were there in the first place.

Their day at Sunset Farms was beautiful, but what I’ll probably remember most is how happy they were. You could see it in the way they looked at each other, the way they laughed together, and honestly, just about every part of the day.

Mikayla and Sam, thank you for letting me be a part of such a special day. It was so much fun getting to watch the two of you finally become husband and wife, and I hope you always have as much fun together as you did on your wedding day.
