Paxton Family

Spending the evening with the Paxton family out at the farm was such a joy! There’s just something magical about a family session surrounded by wide-open fields, warm sunlight, and a few curious horses peeking in to say hello. We had the most beautiful backdrop for capturing their love and laughter.

This session was extra special to me because Mom, Miranda, is not only a familiar face at our school—she’ll also be my daughter’s teacher next year! Getting to know her sweet family and seeing how they interact with each other made me even more excited for the school year ahead. It’s always an honor to photograph families, but it’s even more meaningful when it’s someone who will be such a big part of my child’s life.

The kids did amazing (and were a little obsessed with the horses—can you blame them?). We had fun running through the fields, snuggling in the golden light, and just letting everyone be themselves. These are the kinds of sessions I love the most—laid back, full of connection, and a little bit country.
