What Happens Between Wedding and Gallery Delivery
Your wedding day is one of the most important and joy-filled days of your life—and when the celebration ends, the part you’ve been waiting for begins: seeing your photos! I know how exciting (and hard!) it can be to wait for your gallery, so I wanted to share a peek behind the curtain at what really happens between your wedding day and the moment your final gallery arrives in your inbox.
Step 1: Backing Up Your Memories
The very first thing I do after your wedding is back up every single image—usually in multiple places. This ensures your photos are safe and secure from the very beginning. Your memories are far too precious to risk!
Step 2: Sneak Peek Delivery
Within five days of your wedding, I’ll send you a sneak peek of around 20 images. These highlight moments give you something special to enjoy and share right away while the rest of your gallery is being prepared.
Step 3: The Culling Process
This is where I carefully go through all the images I’ve captured. I know couples often wonder, “Will she leave out moments I want to see?” The answer is no—you’ll receive every quality image from your wedding day. The only photos removed are ones that don’t tell your story well, like duplicates, out-of-focus shots, poor lighting, or unflattering blinks and closed eyes. What you receive is the best of the best—the full story, told beautifully.
Step 4: Editing with Care
This is where the magic happens. I hand-edit each image to match my bright, timeless style that you fell in love with when you chose me as your photographer. This means adjusting colors, perfecting exposure, and ensuring everything feels cohesive. My goal is for your photos to look just as dreamy and joy-filled as the memories themselves.
Step 5: Building Your Gallery
Once editing is complete, I upload everything into your personal online gallery. This is where you’ll be able to relive your day from beginning to end—scrolling through candids, portraits, details, and everything in between. The gallery makes it easy to download, share with friends and family, and even start choosing favorites for albums and prints.
Step 6: Delivery Day!
Finally, the best part: sending your gallery to you! I love imagining couples sitting down together—whether it’s with coffee on a quiet morning or cuddled up on the couch—clicking through each image and reliving the laughter, tears, and joy all over again.
